&lt;p&gt;I wonder if maybe a specific package cannot be upgraded? This failed the same on another almalinux 9.6 and webmin 2.600.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Procedure&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;selected update from webmin main page&lt;br/&gt;
indicated &amp;gt;500 updates&lt;br/&gt;
selected all&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;failed with this:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Last metadata expiration check: 3:57:21 ago on Thu Nov 27 17:12:15 2025.&lt;br/&gt;
Error: &lt;br/&gt;
 Problem: package cockpit-system-344-1.el9.noarch from baseos requires cockpit-bridge &amp;gt;= 344-1.el9, but none of the providers can be installed&lt;br/&gt;
  - cannot install both cockpit-bridge-344-1.el9.noarch from baseos and cockpit-bridge-334.2-1.el9_6.x86_64 from @System&lt;br/&gt;
  - cannot install the best update candidate for package cockpit-system-334.2-1.el9_6.noarch&lt;br/&gt;
  - cannot install the best update candidate for package cockpit-bridge-334.2-1.el9_6.x86_64&lt;br/&gt;
(try to add '--allowerasing' to command line to replace conflicting packages or '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;.. install failed!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;================================================================================&lt;br/&gt;
as root ran dnf update&lt;br/&gt;
selected all&lt;br/&gt;
all updates ran successfully&lt;br/&gt;
rebooted&lt;br/&gt;
ran webmin&lt;br/&gt;
showed updated to 2.610&lt;br/&gt;
YET still showed "554 package updates are available, of which 45 are security updates"&lt;br/&gt;
selected update all&lt;br/&gt;
packages were listed then reported:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Last metadata expiration check: 0:26:16 ago on Thu Nov 27 21:13:40 2025.&lt;br/&gt;
Dependencies resolved.&lt;br/&gt;
Nothing to do.&lt;br/&gt;
Complete!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;.. install complete&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;refreshed webmin from main page&lt;br/&gt;
now shows no updates available which IS CORRECT!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</summary></entry></feed>
