Shift

Pros: After using an app-integrated browser for the past 2 years, I could never go back. The most frustrating thing is switching between accounts on the same app or having to constantly log in and out. With Shift, I have a curated list of apps I use daily for different workspaces (aka, different areas of my life) and I never need to log out. I have a list of apps I use for work, for my social/personal life, and for side projects. Not only do I have all of my apps only one click away, the workspaces in Shift also allows me to focus on specific tasks at a time, dividing my work and personal life beautifully. It's a bonus that Shift has also cured my tab hoarding tendencies.

Cons: Bugs could sometimes occur in Shift, but the customer success and tech team are always quick to resolve them.

Overall: Shift is solving my problem of tab hoarding and app disorganization. It helps me save time while I browse and streamlines my digital life.

Pros: Love that I don't need to have tons of tabs for things that I use every single time, I can keep the tabs for research purposes AND I can switch between my emails so if I'm doing work/personal/school research then it doesn't really matter because I can easily do them all at once.

Cons: I don't love how much they change the interface I often can feel a little lost when they do that as a disabled person.

Overall: LOVE SHIFT! I recommend it to literally everyone I meet who is an entrepreneur or involved with many different activities.

Pros: Keeps everything in one window on one app! I use things like Microsoft To Do, email clients like Google, and workflows like Trello and you can use them all in here.

Cons: Wish the browser was more widely recognised by websites.

Overall: I love it, it is a epic solution to my working multiple apps at once problem! I spend my working day using many different applications and to have them in once place is fantastic.

Pros: I love that I can have all my email accounts work seamlessly in one app. The workspaces are a bonus and I love that I can switch between personal and business all within one app with a quick click and resume workflow without missing a beat. I absolutely refuse to use the mail app that comes standard on Mac. I hate the interface and how it looks and without a Gmail app, this is how I came across it. I also prefer it over the Outlook app as I can have both my Microsoft and Gmail hosted email accounts in one place, yet in their own separate workstations, rather than lumping them all into one inbox.

Cons: Sometimes the apps that you can integrate don't seem to function optimally.

Overall: I'm a huge fan of Shift and recommend it to people all the time who have Mac. I love it and use it daily and has made keeping my multiple emails (from different hosts as well) all in one place. It preserves the look of that email interface (Ex; Gmail inbox is true to browser capability and look

Pros: I've been a Shift user for 5+ years now. It's fast, reliable and provides me access to all of my Google emails and associated Workspace tools in one convenient interface. Plus, I can load and login to Shift from any desktop (Win or Mac) and enjoy the same interface and access. And since Shift is self-contained, it does not affect the system that I'm accessing it from (no User level or login footprints). Finally, Shift has plugins for 100's of other products and platforms to easily integrate my most used browser based tools. I've recommended Shift to many colleagues, and they love it.

Cons: I'm looking forward Shift leveraging the power of AI. I can imagine process automation, content generation and info searching across all of my accounts and tools to further enhance my productivity, creativity and response times. I'm an executive, and having rapid access to info and data when I need it is essential. I hope Shift leverages AI to improve their platform to provide additional analytics and automation for my emails, workspace apps and productivity tools.

Overall: Shift offers me better overall email and productivity tool integration. The browser-based environment is intuitive. Outstanding integration with Google Workspace tools. Excellent overall UX/UI. Setup is fast and secure via SSO login. Overall a great value.

Pros: I liked how it made my work much more efficient and organized . There are a lot of apps that I use daily for work and it made switching back and forth so much easier. I can never go back to using any other web browsers.

Cons: There are bugs sometimes but the team is quick to fix them.

Overall: Usually I would have many different tabs and windows open, and it would feel a bit overwhelming having to go through each tab to find what I am looking for. With Shift, it made my life so much easier and efficient having all my accounts organized in one place.

Pros: Seamless switching between client environments and mail. Shift always runs in the background ready to use and save the day!

Cons: Computer gets warm, blows, processing power is required.

Overall: As a consultant, I oftentimes struggle with many different client specific applications. Not every application is even allowed on my company's own laptop. Browser functionality is however, and shift keeps me connected to every client environment I need.

Pros: This solves the age-old consultant/agency problem – how to keep up with multiple task management, communication apps, and emails at once! And it does it beautifully and simply.

Cons: The only thing I would improve is more options for personalising the program, and perhaps different pricing tiers.

Overall: Very easy to use, increases my efficiency, decreases my overwhelm. Overall, a non-negotiable piece of software for my business.

Pros: We have a portfolio of companies each with its own set of SAAS products and email addresses. We use shift to be able to access all of them quickly without having to manage logging in and out of different tools. It also pulls all of my calendars together in one view. Even as a single email client I find it useful as I can jump between email, Slack, WhatsApp, Trello in one place.

Cons: It's a little buggy sometimes but I haven't had a crash for a few versions. They release updates frequently.

Overall: I can't imagine not having this, so that's testimony to how important it is to our team.

Pros: Shift helps me stay organised and focused by having a central portal to access all of my high-use apps, such as email, calendar, CRM, project management tools, as well as having the option to access a web browser. It helps me feel less chaotic as I don't have to have a multitude of Chrome tabs open, and I can easily toggle between platforms.

Cons: Sometimes the icons in the left hand panel visually disappear – but a quick quit and restart fixes that!

Overall: I couldn't live without Shift! It really does make my working day a breeze by making switching between all of my applications really easy, and not having to have a multitude of Google Chrome tabs open (which I already do, being a web designer).

Pros: Easy to use, consolidates all my accounts and looks great. I use shift daily and it has improved my overall time efficiency adding effortless ability.

Cons: Some addons aren't compatible, I have been trying to add a BitDefender plugin that refuses to work and the likely suspect is the Shift platform blocking it.

Overall: Love Shift and will continue using it. It is a one stop shop for everything I need in a day to work, work fast and easily.

Pros: Shift is an excellent program that allows me to easily manage multiple Google accounts. This allows me to keep my browser free for internet use without having to worry about which account I have signed in as.

Cons: There isn't a lot that I don't like about Shift. Sometimes I have to re-sign in to my Google accounts, but it does remember my passwords which is helpful.

Overall: Overall, Shift has been a big help to my workflow. For me, it is the one-stop shop for Google accounts.

Pros: I got tired of flipping between Gmail, Docs, Sheets and other Google apps. Especially when I'm managing multiple Google accounts for clients. Shift solved that issue by creating a one-stop-shop workplace for all my accounts and apps. If you manage multiple Gmail inboxes, Shift is the best option I've come across to make that process a less cluttered process.

Cons: Not a lot of downsides. Perhaps the password and bookmark functions could be a little better, but Shift doesn't completely replace my regular browser so not big deals.

Overall: I definitely recommend Shift. I was looking for an app that would integrate all my Google apps into one place, and Shift did it. Shift is to Google what Outlook is for Microsoft.

Pros: I love that I can do everything I need to do or access in my day to day, directly from Shift! It keeps things organized and reduces time in my workflows.

Cons: Sometimes the screen will freeze and I will have to restart shift. This doesn’t happen often.

Overall: I’d recommend this to anyone! It’s so easy to use and it’s amazing to have all of my tools and resources contained in 1 application.

Pros: Having everything centralized helps me focus on what's really important for my job, having less distractions and without having to open other tools or products to check what I need, or even to navigate through different windows

Cons: More apps to integrate within will be a top feature that will increase the value of the product

Overall: I've been using it on a daily basis for my job during the last 3 years, and I will keep using it for much more time

Pros: It has a quick toggle option to quickly switch between different accounts.
Any business emails and Microsoft 365 emails can be added.
The setup process is simple and it eliminates the account logging process.
Integration is available with Asana, Slack, Airtable and various other tools.
The user interface is super clean.

Cons: There is not much team collaboration option on this platform.

Overall: Overall, Shift is a very productive platform. It helps to save time by centralizing all of my work emails by adding an extension. The quick toggle feature works seamlessly. It allows me to check emails without logging out and logging in again. Its integration with Asana makes it very effective.

Pros: -You can have multiple Gmail account and switch between them comfortably with this app.
-Shift has very convenient shortcuts that make the work very easy and fast.
-Integration with other apps is straightforward and secure.

Cons: -It is significantly slower than other alternative applications.
-It keeps freezing, and you have to close the app from the task manager every time this happens, which is very annoying.

Overall: Overall, Shift is quite a good application because of the useful and productive features it provides. There are some shortcomings, but they are minor, so it can be considered a default application.

Pros: The best use of this tool is to save times from switching accounts and logout problem. Very easy and convenient for business use. The user interface is appealing.

Cons: I never encountered any problem with this software.

Overall: Managing different email address is a very difficult task. For this, I use Shift tool. It saves me time for switching between different accounts. It connects with account and gives you freedom from login and logout problem.

Pros: Super easy to set up and login to all your accounts in one page. They add new apps all the time as well.

Cons: I wish they had more options for additional users.

Overall: Overall it's great as you can be logged into a lot of similar apps at the same time without needing to log out.

Pros: - Great UI

- Low usage of my computer's hardware resources
- Significantly reduced my needs for chrome tabs
- Speedy support if you need any tech support

Cons: - The USD pricing can get steep for people outside of the US
- Smaller selection of extensions compared to apps

Overall: Our small team of 3 use Shift and it has solved a lot of our pain points. You can only have so many incognito tabs before you start losing everything in the mess. Hope they keep this up at this price!
