QP real-time event frameworks (RTEFs) provide lightweight, modern, event-driven architecture based on asynchronous Active Objects (Actors) and Hierarchical State Machines. The matching QM model-based design tool and other host-based tools complement the QP frameworks by supporting graphical modeling, code generation, software tracing, and unit testing for event-driven embedded software. The MicroPython pyboard is a compact electronic circuit board that runs MicroPython on the bare metal, giving you a low-level Python operating system that can be used to control all kinds of electronic projects. The creation of this device is in response to the overcharging issue that electronic devices with lithium ion batteries face. Most electronic devices when charged to 100 percent will continue to receive power from their charger, overtime this will slowly degrade the life expectancy of the lithium ion battery in the electronic device. The Battery Optimizer aims to increase the life expectancy of a lithium ion battery in an electronic device by automatically stopping power being fed to an electronic device when the battery has reached a set threshold. Some companies do this with their devices but are usually proprietary. -Lenovo does this with some of their laptops -Company called "chargie" already doing this for phones. Using this device, it will provide universality. For the first iteration of this device, I chose to focus on laptops. I hope in the future to make an app for phones to connect to the device as well. -

The AWS IoT Jobs library helps you notify connected IoT devices of a pending Job. A Job can be used to manage your fleet of devices, update firmware and security certificates on your devices, or perform administrative tasks such as restarting devices and performing diagnostics. It interacts with the AWS IoT Jobs service using MQTT, a lightweight publish-subscribe protocol. This library provides a convenience API to compose and recognize the MQTT topic strings used by the Jobs service. The library is written in C compliant with ISO C90 and MISRA C:2012, and is distributed under the MIT Open Source License. This library has gone through code quality checks including verification that no function has a GNU Complexity score over 8, and checks against deviations from mandatory rules in the MISRA coding standard. Deviations from the MISRA C:2012 guidelines are documented under MISRA Deviations. This library has also undergone both static code analysis from Coverity. -

ELKS is a subset of the Linux kernel that runs on IBM compatible PCs from 8086 up. It is intended to get use out of obsolete old hardware, for use in embedded systems, and as an educational tool. ELKS has been moved to Github to protest SourceForge's installer adware hijacking. This does not directly affect ELKS, but it does affect many major open source projects such as Gimp and FileZilla by attempting to trick the user into installing adware in order to download these programs. Ficl is a lightweight, embeddable scripting language designed to be incorporated into other programs, and especially embedded systems that may have memory and OS constraints. Applications include scripting, hardware bring-up, rapid prototyping, and system extensions. Unlike Lua or Python, Ficl acts as a component of your system - you feed it stuff to do, it does the stuff, and comes back to you for more. You can export compiled code to Ficl, execute Ficl code from your compiled code, or interact. Your choice.
