JSONView
A web extension that helps you view JSON documents in the browser
A web extension that helps you view JSON documents in the browser. Normally when encountering a JSON document (content type application/json), Firefox simply prompts you to download the view. With the JSONView extension, JSON documents are shown in the browser similar to how XML documents are shown. The document is formatted, highlighted, and arrays and objects can be collapsed. Even if the JSON document contains errors, JSONView will still show the raw text. JSONView is a Web extension compatible with Firefox and Google Chrome that helps you view JSON documents in the browser. Once you've got JSONView installed, check out the example JSON file to see the extension in action! If you'd like to contribute to JSONView but don't want to code, consider contributing a translation. Copy the existing localization files from src/_locale and fill them in for your own language, then send a pull request. You can do it all from the GitHub interface. There's not many strings to translate! -

We often find ourselves working with Date, Map, Set or BigInt, but JSON.stringify doesn't support any of them without going through the hassle of converting manually. Superjson solves these issues by providing a thin wrapper over JSON.stringify and JSON.parse. For cases where you want lower level access to the json and meta data in the output, you can use the serialize and deserialize functions. -

PeerJS wraps the browser's WebRTC implementation to provide a complete, configurable, and easy-to-use peer-to-peer connection API. Equipped with nothing but an ID, a peer can create a P2P data or media stream connection to a remote peer. To broker connections, PeerJS connects to a PeerServer. Note that no peer-to-peer data goes through the server. The server acts only as a connection broker. If you don't want to run your own PeerServer, we offer a free cloud-hosted version of PeerServer. Suretype
Typesafe JSON (Schema) validator
Suretype is a JSON validator targeting TypeScript and JSON Schema. It is ridiculously type-safe when used in TypeScript, which is good for accuracy, but also for aiding IDE auto-complete. It's as easy as Joi, but ~70x faster. It's (at least) as typesafe as Superstruct, but ~100x faster. ~2500x faster than Zod and ~1600x faster than ow. It supports most (if not all) of JSON schema, and nothing beyond that, so that the validator schemas written in TypeScript (or JavaScript) can be ensured to be convertible into JSON schema. This also prevents sure type from becoming feature-bloated, it has a small and extremely simple API. -

JSON Forms is a declarative framework for efficiently building form-based web UIs. These UIs are targeted at entering, modifying and viewing data and are usually embedded within an application. Writing HTML templates and Javascript for data binding by hand is hard, especially in applications of reasonable size. Furthermore, a form is often more than just a collection of input fields and more advanced functionality is required, e.g. validation or conditional visibility. JSON Forms utilizes the capabilities of JSON and JSON schema and provides a simple and declarative way of describing forms. Forms are then rendered with a UI library or framework, e.g. React or Angular. -

JSON logger for Node.js and browser. A transport in most logging libraries is something that runs in-process to perform some operation with the finalized log line. For example, a transport might send the log line to a standard syslog server after processing the log line and reformatting it. Roarr does not support in-process transports because Node processes are single threaded processes (ignoring some technical details). Given this restriction, Roarr purposefully offloads handling of the logs to external processes so that the threading capabilities of the OS can be used (or other CPUs). -

A powerful, feature-rich, random test data generator
This is the repo for the downloadable version of generatedata.com. The script is essentially an engine to generate any sort of random data in any format. It currently comes with 30 or so Data Types (types of data it generates), 12 Export Types (formats for the data, like CSV, SQL, JSON), plus around 32 data sets for specific countries (city names, regions, etc). But more importantly, it can be extended in any way you want. Check out the developer documentation for more information on that. The current major version of the script is 4.x, which was a big change over earlier releases. Earlier versions were written in PHP and MYSQL and 3.x offered a REST API to let you generate the data programmatically rather than via an API. While this is still planned for 4.x it's not currently offered, and the plan it to tackle that after making the script available as an npm package - which we feel will be a more convenient way to programmatically generate data over the more agnostic REST approach. -
