Open Source Linux Screen Savers

This project intends to promote the use of KDE and KDE-based applications on/for Fedora™ Core and Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® through the creation and distribution of unofficial core and 3rd-party KDE RPM packages.

A 3D matrix screensaver based on The Matrix Reloaded. Supports widescreen setups, and can be run on Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, BSD and many other UNIX based operating systems.

Two Linux distributions which run as screensavers for Microsoft Windows. One contains educational software aimed roughly at UK Key Stage 2 (8-11 years old); the other contains many open source games. To use, 'extract all' the zip files, run the installer 'exe's, and then select either the 'fr2' or 'gk2' screensaver. The git repository also contains a script which will build the material to run under Windows Subsystem for Linux version 2. Digital Clock Screen Saver based on a simple Flash effect creates a 3D digital clock that is used as a screen saver. Very light file size and easy to install. Requires Flash 8 or above.

Wakefull, like Caffeine, keeps your screen awake by blocking screen/power savers. The main difference from Caffeine is that Wakefull gives you (the user) access to the scripts being run - so you can adapt it for whatever environment you are using. This was developed for a system where Caffeine was not readily available.
