An intentful waste of my time? Marked as "FOR LINUX" but is certainly and only a MICROSOFT BASIC project which is most certainly not Linux sourced or able to run in Linux. perhaps microsoft lied to the author. it looks like a cute game though.Reply from Lynn's LegacyEdited 2025-04-07
Hello, developer here. This is certainly not true, as FreeBASIC (an open source project to which I directly contributed) is NOT a Microsoft product. I assure you that FreeBASIC has been running on Linux for at least 20 years at this point, regardless of any "Microsoft lies"! I would appreciate it if you would delete this comment, or at least edit it after doing basic research and realizing that your claim is false. If you do have trouble running this very old game, you could try https://gradualgames.itch.io/lynns-legacy which is a third-party port of LL to a more modern game framework (Love2D). I hope you enjoy the game if you are able to get it running on your platform of choice!
